Today, the STU48 extracurricular activity unit “Katte ni! Shikoku Tourism Ambassador” held a performance at Festhalle in Kagawa Prefecture. “Katte ni! Shikoku Tourism Ambassador” is a unit made up of members who love Shikoku, and promotes the charms of Shikoku through tours, events, SNS, etc. This is the first performance in Kagawa since they were appointed as “Shikoku Tourism Ambassadors”, the first “tourism ambassadors for the whole of Shikoku” officially recognized by the Shikoku Regional Transport Bureau in March this year, and since the new lineup was formed in July this year with the addition of 3rd generation members Ishihara Yuna, Kabeshima Yuka, and Kitazawa Ichigo, and this is the first performance in 1 year and 9 months for “Katte ni! Shikoku Tourism Ambassadors”.
The first part started with the opening act “HelloYouth”, who appeared at the previous day’s Fukufes Vol.3, and the venue was livened up, followed by a performance by the 3rd generation members, warming up the atmosphere. During the MC, Fukuda Akari said, “Is this your third day in Kagawa? I’m glad there were chairs today!!” and drew laughter from the audience. They talked about Fukufes and udon, and at the end sang “Hikoukigumo” with the three new 3rd generation members. Fukuda expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you for being the witness to our first performance with 9 members under the new system.” In the second part, Furukawa Mirin from “Dempagumi.inc”, whose ending is scheduled for January 2025, was welcomed as a guest for “STU48’s Katte Ni! Shikoku RADIO!”, where they had fun with a corner where they talked about things they couldn’t tell and answered various questions, and collaborated on 4 songs including a song by Dempagumi.inc. Regarding her collaboration with Furukawa, whom she has been supporting since she was in junior high school, Fukuda commented, “It’s such a dream come true that it’s scary, but I’m also aiming to become a Takamatsu tourism ambassador,” drawing laughter from the audience as the two seemed to have become close.
Finally, Fukuda concluded by saying, “With a new system and increased numbers, we will do our best to tour Shikoku and perform as ‘Katte ni! Shikoku Tourism Ambassadors.’ We will continue to spread the charms of Shikoku, not only to Kagawa Prefecture, but to the whole of Japan.” With this, the three-day performance, festival, and special live show in Kagawa Prefecture came to a close.
