Today, December 28th, the 2nd generation members of STU48, who are based in Setouchi, held the “STU48 2nd Generation 5th Anniversary Concert” at the Hiroshima International Conference Center Phoenix Hall in Hiroshima Prefecture.
The second generation of STU48 was unveiled in December 2019 and promoted to regular members in October 2021. Even though they are unable to carry out their activities as expected due to the coronavirus pandemic, they will hold the “STU48 2nd Generation 3rd Anniversary Live” on October 23, 2022, and this will be the first anniversary LIVE for only the 2nd generation in about 2 years. .
Starting with Overture, Yoshida Ayara’s chants of “Everyone will form a circle~. 2nd generation 5th anniversary concert! We are now in our youth!! Let’s go~” started with “First Day”, followed by “Girls In “Yo,” Himeka Sako enthusiastically said, “The girls have grown a lot over the past five years, and I will do my best to show them that.” There was a big round of applause from the audience. All members performed four songs in a row, expressing their desire to never forget their original intentions.
After the unit block, the dance inter began with Sayaka Takao’s signal, “The 2nd generation is still just a passing step. From here, we will show you a new side of us that you don’t know yet. Let’s get started.” The atmosphere was different from the first half, and they performed three dance songs in a row, including “RIVER” and “Kaze wa Fuiteru.” There was an accident in which the sole of Sako’s shoe came off, and he said, “This proves that I’ve been teaching for about 10 hours a day, more intensely than ever before,” which caused loud laughter and applause from the audience.
The encore began with “Sukisuru Hito”, which was also the song used during the 2nd generation’s audition, and Serika Ozaki said, “We, the 2nd generation, joined STU48 because we admired our seniors, who were 1st and 3rd generation members. To all the fans, I am standing here because of all of you who support me.I will continue to chase my dreams,” he said, expressing his gratitude and delivering a signed ball to the audience.
Lastly, Ayara Yoshida said, “We are celebrating our 5th anniversary, but right when we joined 5 years ago, the coronavirus pandemic hit, and the days have continued to be different from what everyone had envisioned. However, because of everyone who always supported us, the 12 of us were able to come this far.Currently, there is only one second-generation student in STU48. Most of the time, we need to be in the front and be aware that we are the center.

I haven’t been able to hold that position very often, but I’m no longer in a position where I can be pampered enough to call myself the next generation. Today’s set list was created after all the members thought about their various thoughts. Having been here for five years, I think the second generation members especially feel that being able to meet fans up close and have them call us is not something we take for granted. I hope that the 12 of us will be able to celebrate our 6th anniversary together, and this lesson/rehearsal period was also a time where we were able to reaffirm the bond between the 2nd generation students. I will continue to work hard towards my dreams without giving up, so please continue to support me. ”, the audience cheered loudly.
The 2nd generation’s 5th anniversary concert, which conveyed their gratitude for the past 5 years and their enthusiasm for the future to their fans, ended with a total of 23 songs performed. Expectations are high for the 2nd generation’s concert, which gave a sense of momentum, and for their 11th single, “Do you see the horizon?”, which will be released on January 15th.
