Four members who have turned 20, dressed in long-sleeved kimono, participate in the coming-of-age ceremony with their own wishes and determination in mind!
Today, January 13, 2025 (Monday, Coming of Age Day), STU48 held the coming-of-age ceremony at Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine in Hiroshima Prefecture, just like last year. The four members who turned 20 are Airisa Mineyoshi from the 1st generation, Yuna Ishihara and Kano Ide from the 3rd generation, and Ichigo Kitazawa from the 3rd generation research students.
The four dignified people, each dressed in furisode of their own choice, were radiant and full of joy and awareness that they had reached a turning point in their lives at the age of 20. I entered the temple looking a little nervous and received a prayer in the peaceful atmosphere.
After the members completed the ceremony of coming of age, they were interviewed with refreshing expressions, and Kano Ide stated, “I want to improve my powers as an idol and become a famous idol by using SNS, which is my specialty.” Airisa Mineyoshi said, “Last year, we announced our graduation, and our activities as STU48 will continue until our 8th anniversary concert. After the success of the anniversary concert, I will take a new step.I want to leave the group and take on various challenges and grow into a wonderful adult.” Yuna Ishihara said, “I want to become an indispensable member of STU48, and someone that people think of when they think of STU48.” Ichigo Kitazawa said, “I want to become an essential member of STU48 with an adult mindset.” “They each vowed their goals as 20-year-olds.
After the coming-of-age ceremony, we moved to STU48 Hiroshima Theater (Hiroshima Club Quattro) and participated in the “2025 STU48 20-Year-Old Gathering Event”. I enjoyed interacting with fans through quizzes on general manners as a member of society and the beginning of calligraphy.
It was a warm coming-of-age event filled with smiling faces as participants vowed to move forward so that they would not have any regrets as they reached the milestone of turning 20, and so that they could fly towards the future.
The theme of the gathering to celebrate Hiroshima’s 20th birthday is “#over the Rainbow” after the “7” and “7” colored rainbow of 2020. After overcoming hardships, a bright rainbow appears in the sky after the rain. I heard that it symbolizes that there is a wonderful tomorrow waiting beyond the rainbow. With this theme in mind, the members of STU48, who have reached their 20s, will further raise their awareness as adults and strive to contribute to society with self-awareness and responsibility. STU48’s 11th single “Do you see the horizon?”, which will be released on January 15th, is a nostalgic song that will give you a heartrending push, depicting the setbacks and conflicts of the main character chasing his dreams. This is a song that seems to be asking questions of new adults who have turned 20 and have new dreams and goals. Just as STU48’s music is a source of courage and energy, as an idol of Setouchi, I will continue to love and enliven Setouchi. We look forward to your continued support of STU48, which continues to grow.

My 20 year old’s resolution is to improve myself at my own pace. I’m always at the last minute, so I’ll try to act 5 minutes early. My goal is to be active in STU48 and become an indispensable part of the group. I would also like to try a job related to fashion. My hobby is collecting clothes and cute things, so I hope I can connect what I like to my work! I recently opened Instagram, so I want to keep posting on SNS!
Thank you for your continued support. I will work hard on my activities so that I can be even more active in the future, so I would be happy if you would continue to believe in me and support me!
I’m an adult! Thank you for your continued support!
I’m happy to be able to celebrate my 20th birthday with STU48! When I’m 20 years old, I want to live my life as an idol, enjoying myself every day with a smile! Also, Buzz wants to become a famous idol! I also want to go to more live shows and do things like an idol!
Also, I often get lost in my thoughts, so I try not to think too much.
I have lived freely for 20 years, so I am filled with gratitude to my family and relatives who have accepted me, and to everyone who has been involved with me up until now. I think my life starts from here, so I would be happy if you could follow me forever!
I will continue to do my best without forgetting my original intention. Thank you for your continued support!
Thank you very much to everyone who supported me for about 8 years from the age of 12 to 20! I have dedicated all of my youth to STU48 and have been able to create countless memories by meeting so many people and scenery that I would never have seen if I had lived as a normal student. Ta! I decided to graduate from the group at the turning point of my life at the age of 20! Of course I feel lonely! However, I think it’s up to me from now on to not regret this decision, so I want to make this year a year where I keep trying! I want to be inspired a lot and grow as a person! I want to become a wonderful adult like everyone who enjoys Arisa’s happy events as if they were her own! I have to! I would be happy if you would continue to watch over me without forgetting me!
I still don’t really feel that I’ve become an adult, but I’ve been listening to the 48 groups that I’ve loved since I was little.
I am very happy to be able to celebrate my coming-of-age ceremony as a member, and above all as a member of STU48!
From now on, I want to work hard toward my goal so that I can be an essential part of STU48, both as a person and as a member of STU48, with the mindset of an adult. First of all, I want to work harder and harder on my performance and activities with the goal of getting promoted.
I want to grow up to be able to give back and be grateful to my family, friends, and people around me who have supported me so far!
