Ikeda Yuraku, the idol group STU48 based in the seven Setouchi prefectures, performed a national sing at the Hiroshima Toyo Carp vs Yokohama DeNA BayStars match held at MAZDA Zoom~Zoom Stadium Hiroshima.
The national anthem was held on July 16th, prior to the JTB Night Tour sponsored by JTB Inc., and STU48 will be in charge. Among them, Ikeda, who boasts the best singing ability in the AKB48 group, took on a major role.
Ikeda has won twice in the “AKB48 Group No. 1 Singing Score,” and in 2023 she appeared on the popular program “Chidori no Oni Renchan.” He has attracted attention for his singing ability and beloved characters, and in May this year he has been able to demonstrate his abilities, achieving a splendid “Oni Renchan” on his fourth attempt. Furthermore, since 2024, he has been in charge of the commercial song for “Yume Town” “Hello! Yume Town,” and his singing voice has been spreading throughout the country. He is currently a regular appearance in the Hiroshima Home TV series “Hiroshima Coed Noodle Research Team,” a corner on Hiroshima Home TV’s “Pita New,” and is expanding his range of activities, spreading the appeal of his favorite ramen.

On the day, Ikeda stood on the mound with a nervous look on his face, but there was also a scene where popular Carp character Sriley ran over to his side, relieving his tension. Warm cheers blew from the audience, “Ike-chan! Good luck!”, and Ikeda responded with a smile and a wave.

During the performance, Ikeda proudly sang the national anthem with a straight, clear voice, and warmly wrapped up the stadium before the match.

After singing, Ikeda exchanged a high-five with Sriley, and expressed a look of relief, saying, “Was it just an illusion? It was completely blank in my head and it ended in an instant.” Before the match began, Ikeda’s voice echoed, and I was quickly filled with excitement due to Ikeda’s singing voice and sincere attitude.

[Comment]We have recently had a very valuable opportunity to sing the national anthem. It’s been a dream forever, so I feel keen to be entrusted with a big role. In the year 80 years since the end of the war, I sang with gratitude for the peaceful present, and with the desire to deliver each note straight with all my heart. Using this experience as a source of energy, we will continue to take it in the future! Go! GO! GO! I’ll do my best!
