Today, Friday, July 18th, 2025, the original reading drama “Ensun Summer Flowers” hosted by STU48’s Individual Fan Club was held at Edion Kamiyacho Hall in Hiroshima, with four people performing: Ozaki Sarika, Shinano Soraka, Takao Sayaka, and Harada Kiyoka.

This performance was planned to mark the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing, and was designed to rethink the preciousness of “peace.” The story is about Sora (Shinano), a modern high school girl who visits Hiroshima on a school trip, and Seri (Ozaki) meet Sae (Takao), a girl whose life was taken by the atomic bomb, and Kiyo (Harada), and through interaction, facing the meaning of “peace.”

Reading drama

The film carefully depicts the Atomic Bomb Dome, once known as the “Industrial Encouragement Hall,” and the events of “that day,” in which everyday life was taken away in an instant, through conversations between the girls. The sight of high school students who were not interested in peace learning gradually began to understand the weight of the material while experiencing historical facts also poses a deep question to the audience living in modern times. In the depiction of the atomic bomb immediately after the dropping of the atomic bomb, the spectacular scene was expressed exclusively through words and voices, creating a production that greatly sways the audience’s imagination and emotions.

Reading drama

At the end of the story, girls who lived in wartime spoke in Hiroshima dialect, “This is the first place in the world where an atomic bomb was dropped, but for us, it was the place where we were born and raised, where we lived a normal life, and there was a normal life here too…I wanted you to know that.I hope you will forget, please.” The urgent desire to not forget what we existed here and how we were suddenly taken away from our lives was conveyed through the delicate intonation of our voices, and the story came to an end with a deep lingering touch.

In the greeting after the performance, each member who served as the cast shared their feelings and wishes for peace through the film.

Takao Sayaka

Takao recalls, “This year marks the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing. As STU48, based in the Setouchi area, including Hiroshima Prefecture, I performed this reading drama with the aim of delivering a story that looks at peace. As I played it, I felt like my feelings naturally overlapped with the role of Saya.” He also said with great energy, “As an ambassador for peace, I would like to continue to convey the importance of peace in the future.”

Shinano Sorahana

Unable to contain her emotions, Shinano shed tears and said, “I learned a lot from this work through the role of a modern high school girl. Even during the film, I couldn’t help but cry, but I would be happy if as many people as possible will think about peace through this work and spend the day more precious.”

Ozaki Yorika

Ozaki, who is from Nagasaki Prefecture, said, “One of my goals was to become someone who has been involved in peace learning since I was a child, and to become an “initial” about peace. I am very happy to be involved in this work this time. I would be happy if it reached the hearts of everyone who saw it.”

Harada Kiyoka

Harada said, “I am truly grateful to have been given the opportunity to think about and communicate about peace in the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing. Through this role, I learned a lot more. The more I learnt about it, the more I felt the difficulty of how to communicate, but I strongly believe that we, who live in the present, have the responsibility to protect peace. From an idol perspective, I would like to deliver the importance of peace.”

Greetings after the performance

Through the reading drama “Ensun Summer Flower,” the members sincerely faced “peace” and brought the audience a message that would connect the preciousness of life and memories of the past to the next generation. I hope that this work will be an opportunity for each and every one of us living in the present to look back at peace, life, and the future for the future.

In addition, a portion of the merchandise revenue from this performance will be donated to related organizations in order to support and inheritance activities regarding the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.

This film will be re-run at STU48 Tokyo Theater (Club Mixa) in Ikebukuro, Tokyo on Friday, July 25th, 2025. The story, which brings out the feelings of peace from the Setouchi to Tokyo, reaches even more people’s hearts.

Ozaki Yoka

Born and raised in Nagasaki, I have been exposed to peace learning since I was a child. When I was in high school, I learned the importance and difficulty of passing on memories of the atomic bombing to future generations. On the other hand, I have been keeping my mind in mind that students outside the prefecture have few opportunities to experience peace learning. I feel that this time I was able to be involved in a work with a peace theme in this article is a great mission for me. The character I play is a modern high school student who is sensitive to trends. They feel a sense of distance between words such as war and peace, and see it as difficult. I believe that focusing on the “peace” that exists in everyday life as normal leads to peace in the future. Under the blue sky in August, the momentary events have taken away everything from life, smiles and future. I would be happy if you could sense this fear and the preciousness of everyday life that is something that is something that you must protect through this work. It’s not “end of seeing,” but let the minds of those who watched him remain a sense of peace. I will do my best to act with all my heart so that you will suddenly remember it in my daily life.

Shinano Sorahana

The first thing I felt when reading this work was, “It’s not obvious to be able to spend a day like this, it’s a very valuable and happy thing.” Not only is she living the time of “now”, but she is also able to take on stage as an idol and interact with her fans, and also has the ability to laugh with her family and members. I once again realized that it’s not all natural for me to occasionally argue and fight, and it was an opportunity to rethink my life and attitude. Through this work, I would like to convey the importance of life that everyday life that I live casually is not at all natural. I would also like to be grateful for the peaceful days I have now and continue to live my life.

Takao Sayaka

As has been seen by those who have not mentioned the damage to the atomic bomb, “The Flower of the Ensemble Flower” has an atmosphere that doesn’t look too heavy, but it also covers war in an easy-to-understand manner. There have been many changes in the cityscape and social situation today from 80 years ago, but the feelings of those who wish for peace have not changed, and reading this has led to a variety of emotions. I believe that STU48 has meaning in both playing this reading play in Hiroshima and then going to Tokyo to communicate it. I hope you will be able to re-impress the happiness of meeting and talking to someone you care about. I will perform with all my heart and wish for peace.

Harada Kiyoka

As we reach the milestone of 80 years since the atomic bombing, we are truly grateful to be able to take on the opportunity to think deeply about peace once again. At the same time, I strongly feel that we need to be prepared to face the situation head-on, how many lives and everyday life have taken away, and how unimaginable pain and pain the events that took place in this place 80 years ago have caused unimaginable pain and pain. I believe that there is something that can only be conveyed by us who are active in this place, and through this reading drama, I will do my best to deliver the preciousness of peace and the irreplaceableness of everyday life.
