Today, August 25th (Sunday), the “STU48 2.5×3 Special LIVE” was held at BLUE LIVE HIROSHIMA in Hiroshima Prefecture by the 2.5th generation, 3rd generation, and 3rd generation trainees of STU48, which is based in Setouchi. The concert started with a dance interlude, which was the first experience for the 3rd generation, and Captain Okada Azumi urged the group, “Today, we’re going to be the best until the end, so please go home feeling that it’s amazing!” and performed three songs in a row. During the MC, Okuda Yuina said, “In the dance interlude, each of our special skills are actually incorporated into the dance, and I incorporated a dance where I play the piano,” which drew a huge applause from the audience. Okada continued, “This LIVE is a chance to see a lot of individuality and cuteness, such as the dance interlude, which is overflowing with our individuality, and the unit blocks produced by the members. Please enjoy it to the end and go home!”

During the encore, all the 3rd generation members said, “It’s been about a year since we joined, and we’ve tried many different things. In the beginning, things didn’t go well, and we looked down and almost gave up. We overcame that wall and are now standing on this stage with our friends. And as members of STU48, we are moving forward toward our 8th anniversary. We have grown over the past year, and with this live performance today, we will take the history of STU48 one step further. We will inherit the feelings of our seniors who have built it up until now, and we will be the ones who will carry the future of STU48. Please believe in us and follow us.” They then performed “Mae Shika Mukanee”. In the second encore, they performed “Ai no Shizue”, the lead song from their first album “Natsukashii Ashita”. This was the first time for the 3rd generation to perform “Ai no Shizue”.

Okada said, “Our 2.5th and 3rd generation stage started exactly one year ago with the Setouchi tour in the summer. At that time, we were still developing, not yet confident in singing or dancing, and there were parts where we couldn’t sing or dance. We spent the year before feeling very frustrated that some venues were not fully filled. For this performance, we were determined to create a stage that would make the audience think, ‘That was fun! I want to come again!’ We worked hard every day in practice, and as a result, we were really happy to see so many customers come to see us, and it made us feel like we had worked hard. Thank you everyone.” The audience gave a big round of applause. Okada continued, “But I want to see even bigger views. As a group, we will take you to a stage with views you have never seen before. With that determination and sincerity, we are standing on this stage now. We will continue to exceed your expectations. So please look forward to us. We will absolutely create a future that will make you glad you followed STU48.” Finally, Sogawa Saki began by saying, “And now we have an announcement to make!”, and announced, “The music video for ‘Astral Projection and Sleep Paralysis,’ a song we received from the 3rd Generation members, will finally be released! It should be coming soon!? So everyone please look forward to it!” Arai Rian tearfully commented, “It was my dream to shoot the MV, so I was very happy.” Ishihara Yuna also shared her thoughts, “I think the MV turned out really gorgeous, so everyone please look forward to it.” The STU48 2.5×3 Special LIVE came to a close after performing a total of 37 songs.
