Night Verses drummer Aric Improta and ex-The Chariot guitarist Stephen Harrison have released House of House, their new project following their respective departures from hardcore band Fever 333. Announced the launch of House of Protection. Each brings together the sonic power of punk, electronica, and hardcore, further deepening their extensive experience as live musicians. Based on a shared vision of creating a space for self-expression and limitless creativity, the band’s philosophy is borne out in their ambitious sound and ferocious visuals.

Aric explains the meaning behind the band’s name, House of Protection.

“‘Protection’ is specifically a song by Massive Attack, and I was reading their biographies around the time we started the project and was very inspired by them. The full name is a song by Massive Attack that inspired us not only to have creativity and ideas. , because we wanted to build something that would also protect the people who come to the show.”

Their debut single, “It’s Supposed To Hurt,” sees Aric and Stefan singing for the first time in their careers, discovering their own voices that neither of them knew existed. The wild anthem was produced by Jordan Fish (ex-Bring Me the Horizon) and was accompanied by an official video that captures House of Protection’s energy in an extremely chaotic shot. The band’s DIY spirit oozes through the screen, giving fans a glimpse of their upcoming live show.

Regarding the origins of the single, the band said:

“‘It’s Supposed To Hurt’ was the first song we wrote, and some of the vocals came from early improvisations. When we started the project, we had no idea how it would sound or where we wanted to go. We hadn’t really sung before, but we knew what kind of energy we wanted to create sonically, and it took a while to get it right. Luckily, this song answered many of those questions right away.”

As a musician, he has made a name for himself in the world of heavy music. House of Protection continues that self-expression, packing anger, anxiety, joy and creativity into a howling sound.

“We wanted to create a place where all ideas, no matter how wild, felt safe,” Stefan says. That’s the foundation House of Protection is built on, allowing them to fearlessly and uninhibitedly give their audiences joy. They were fascinated and inspired by bands like Smashing Pumpkins, The Prodigy, Alice Glass, Massive Attack, Cocteau Ynes, and Sleigh Bells, who figured out how to bring an energy that blurred the line between stage and audience. .

Working with close friends Nick DePiro (Night Verses) and Jordan Fish (ex-Bring Me The Horizon), they created a wide-ranging yet urgent debut single, ‘It’s Supposed To Hurt’. It started. “We knew it wouldn’t be easy to start over, but that phrase also became our ethos. Starting again was what this was all about,” says Aric. speaks.
