Leina, who is scheduled to appear at “WONDERLIVET 2024” in November, will be visiting Korea for the first time!
Currently receiving overwhelming support from her generation in Korea, 19-year-old singer-songwriter Leina is currently garnering a lot of UGC for her latest songs “Kuwaku Kira” and “Kimi no Mae datte Tottechau no”, while her song “Utatane” released last year is currently trending on Korean social media. Leina held her first street live performance at Gyeongui Line Forest Park in Hongdae, Korea. The venue was flooded with Korean fans who had seen the announcement on social media an hour before the start of the performance. When Leina pushed her way through the crowd to appear, a huge roar erupted, and she was showered with messages in Japanese such as “I love you,” “You’re cute,” and “I love you.”
Leina, who performed all eight songs for an hour with all her might and thrilled the audience, said in her newly learned Korean, “I’m really grateful to have come to Korea today, and I’m really grateful that you all came to listen. It will take some time before I can see you again, but I promise that this music will always be by your side. I really love you all. We are from different countries, different ages, and different hair colors. There are many differences, but that doesn’t matter, we come here and meet each other, and even if we don’t understand the meaning of the words, there is something we can communicate. That is the most important thing, and I think it’s love more than anything. I want to continue singing, believing in such music. Thank you so much for today until we meet again.” She then performed a phrase of the Korean version of “Utatane,” and many fans started crying. At the end, she performed the full chorus, and a huge chorus of Japanese broke out.

In the end, 2,000 fans came to the concert, which is rare even in Hongdae, where street performances are popular, and Leina’s first live concert in Korea ended with a great success. Leina has also been confirmed to appear at the large-scale live event “WONDERLIVET 2024” to be held at KINTEX HALL in Korea in November this year.
