Eric Clapton announces new album “Meanwhile”

Eric Clapton announced today that he will release his new album “MEANWHILE” through Bushbranch/Surfdog Records. Digital distribution will begin on October 4th, with the vinyl and CD physical release scheduled for January 24th, 2025. Along with this announcement, the new song “One Woman” was released.

The album features collaborations with Jeff Beck, Van Morrison, Bradley Walker, Judith Hill, Daniel Santiago and Simon Climie, as well as six new songs and eight previously released singles.

After not playing live in South America for 13 years, Eric is embarking on a limited-run tour, starting today at the Estadio Velez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires, followed by four shows in Brazil, before returning to Mexico on October 3rd to play the Foro Sol in Mexico City, before heading to California for a three-night run of concerts at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena on October 8th, Palm Desert’s Acrisure Arena on October 10th and Los Angeles’ iconic Hollywood Bowl on October 12th.

Additionally, on October 17th, he will appear alongside many other big name musicians at “Life Is a Carnival – A Tribute to Robbie Robertson” at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. This special event and three solo concerts in California are Eric’s only scheduled performances in the US this year.

Eric’s band consists of Nathan East (bass/vocals), Doyle Bramhall II (guitar/vocals), Sonny Emory (drums), Chris Stainton (keyboards), Tim Carmon (Hammond organ/keyboards), Sharon White (backing vocals), and Katie Kissoon (backing vocals). Opening acts include Gary Clark Jr. in Buenos Aires, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Mexico City, Jimmy Fallon in San Diego, Palm Desert, and Los Angeles.
