R&B singer aimi’s new song “Sippin’ Sake” was released today, October 9th.
This work is co-produced by Modesty Beats and Yui Mugino. Ryusei, who supports the hip-hop scene, is in charge of mixing and mastering. The R&B sound, featuring a melancholic Latin guitar reminiscent of 2000’s R&B, is combined with vocalization through heavy chorus work, creating a highly addictive song that captivates those who listen to it.
In the lyric, a woman provocatively seduces someone who has a flirtatious attitude, comparing herself to ‘sake’ and saying, “Once I open the bottle, I can’t wait. Even 7 days a week is not enough, I want more.” It depicts psychology.

R&B singer/songwriter. With songwriting that flows freely in Japanese and English, he masters the current R&B sound with the flavor of 90’s and 00’s R&B. Since his debut in 2020, he has released songs with music producers leading the R&B scene, Shingo.S, Modesty Beats, DJ/beat makers grooveman Spot, DJ KOMORI, etc. In April of this year, they released a collaborative single with US R&B producer LEJKEYS, which attracted a lot of attention.
In 2020, he released his 1st EP “Water Me” and debuted at number 1 on the iTunes R&B/Soul chart. Although unknown, the lead song “Sorry” was selected as J-WAVE’s Sonar Trax. In 2021, they released their 2nd EP “Changed 4 Good”, and the number of streaming has skyrocketed in Asia as well. In February 2022, he released his 3rd EP “Chosen One”, which once again topped the iTunes R&B/Soul chart. The event “STAY READY”, which was launched to enliven the domestic R&B scene, was held twice at Space Odd in Daikanyama and was a great success. In addition, he was selected as the first featured artist for the new project “BACARDI Sound Distillery” by the rum brand BACARDI, and released a song with producer/DJ tofubeats. In 2023, he will continue to release collaborative singles with EMI MARIA and JASMINE.
In April of this year, he launched the curation project “R&B Lovers Club” and at the same time started the Spotify podcast “Detox Lounge powered by R&B Lovers Club”. An interview was published in the book “Alternative R&B Disc Guide” (released in March 2024) as an up-and-coming R&B singer who is also working to revitalize the domestic R&B scene.
