In the production of their second album, Darkroom, released in May, they conducted a ground-breaking project called “Box Of Secrets,” collecting anonymous stories and letters from fans around the world. Based on these, it seamlessly fuses with the darkest parts of electronic pop. It takes the listener on an intimate and deep magical journey.
The band’s frontperson, Margaux Sauvi, says of the Box Of Secrets project:
“So many people have told us that they listen to our music through heartbreak, sadness, pain, and self-questioning, and we want to provide a safe space for others to do the same. In this project, I wanted to live within those themes and experiences and have a multidimensional dialogue, for example in a country where you are not allowed to openly love the person you love. I heard a lot of feedback from fans. I felt their pain and empathized with it in my own way, and I’m sure many people feel the same way.”

Ghostly Kisizu’s journey so far has been nothing short of extraordinary. Their previous album “Heaven, Wait” has been streamed an astonishing 150 million times across various platforms, and the lead single from their latest album alone has been streamed 2 million times. The single “On & Off” not only won the prestigious BiliBili International Track Of The Year award, but also reached number one on Canada’s CBC Radio chart. It reached the top 10 of Apple Music in multiple regions. It also reached number 10 on the Spotify Viral chart and was selected as “Album Of The Week” by FluxFM.
