Also, Kaiki Ohara (from Suchmos) will be participating as a special guest at the release party to be held on Friday, November 8th!!
Alternative pop singer Nao Kawamura’s long-awaited single “Call me”, her first in about two and a half years, was released today, October 30th (Wednesday) at midnight.
The catchy phrase, “So call me babe anytime,” leaves a pleasant impression on this song, and it is a song that reflects Nao’s light-hearted mindset, which has changed over the course of two years of production and the coronavirus pandemic. Additionally, the release date of the music video, which was scheduled to be released soon, has been decided to be November 6th (Wednesday). This music video was shot in two locations in Berlin and Tokyo, with CEO Florian Balke from the German video team Mori, which has a history of collaborating with many famous brands such as Red Bull and Netflix. The video is suitable for Nao Kawamura’s restart song, which sends a message not only in Japan but also to friends around the world.
Furthermore, it has been suddenly decided that Kaiki Ohara (from Suchmos) will be participating in the release party to be held on Friday, November 8th. Kaiki Ohara, who is close to Suchmos in both his professional and private life, came to celebrate and livened up the venue with his DJ performance, including Nao’s participation in sampling choruses for Suchmos’s works.
The event will be held at TRUNK(HOTEl)CAT STREET (Jingumae, Shibuya Ward), with free entrance.
It will be a special night for Nao Kawamura and other musicians and DJs who are close to Nao.
[Nao Kawamura comment]
“Two years had passed when I was holed up in the studio, searching for music that would make me feel excited.
It was an important two years for me to get back to my roots, and I feel like this song, which was completed during those years, is full of words I want to say to myself. I am also happy to have had so many connections this time, and to be able to share my work with the world as a global team. Furthermore, for the release party, in honor of “Call Me,” we invited artist friends that we would like to talk about right now. (Maybe we’ll have a last session…?) I’d be happy if you could hang out with your friends, co-workers, and loved ones for the first time in a while! ”
