Halves is a Japanese bedroom pop band.
This EP is a group of six characters, including the young and impulsive “GIVE ME A BREAK!” ~ the ambiguous popness of “Firefly :)” ~ the intense self of “Transpose” ~ next to “Interlude (daydream)” “The wide open world of harmony is depicted. This is a work that embellishes the sound that has evolved from the previous album “Only to Wave” with a DIY sense of playfulness. On the same day of release, the music video for the song “Firefly :)” was released. The video was directed by lilsom, who has worked on music videos for Tohji, Mega Shinnosuke, For Tracy Hyde, and more.
In addition, a release party will be held at Shimokitazawa LIVEHAUS on December 5th, the day after the release. Guest appearances include safmusic, VQ, Tsujii Kunue, Hoshinooto, and suisuisuicide. Same age, same hometown, same school – it’s a day that brings together all the connections we’ve made thus far.
