Bring Me The Horizon’s former member Jordan Fish has released his first single, “Afterlife” as producer again
House of Protection, which has just finished its first tour in Australia, today announced that it will release its second EP, Outrun You All, on May 23rd on Red Bull Records. The pre-single single “Afterlife,” which marks the beginning of the project, has now begun streaming today.
The new song, which has once again brought Bring Me The Horizon member Jordan Fish as a producer, has a slower tempo sound without losing the explosive energy they are good at. Characterized by bold lyrics and electronic elements interwoven between roaring riffs, “Afterlife” is a song that highlights the personality of House of Protection. In the music video, Dominatrix appears in a rubber costume, engaging viewers into a world of dreamy, frenzy of visuals. It is a shocking work with overwhelming visuals and performances intersecting.
Regarding the production of “Afterlife,” the band said, “It was the second demo that they made after “It’s Supposed to Hurt.” At first, they were just the guitar stubs and whip. I really liked the song, On his first EP, “GALORE,” I deliberately avoided heavy halftime songs. I wanted to put that EP into a fast tempo. But after finishing my debut live, I missed the feeling of that sound from the live show. So we reviewed the song again and hone the idea together with Jordan and Nick. It’s now our favorite song.”
Last year, House of Protection released their debut EP “GALORE,” which received high praise from music media such as The Guardian, Kerrang! and Revolver. Despite only a year since its formation, its first performances in Los Angeles (The Echo) and London (The Underworld) sold out immediately, with more than 10 million streams worldwide. He ranked 14th in the Current Hard Rock Albums category and 15th in the Alternative New Artist Albums category on the Luminate chart, and was selected as Spotify’s “2025 Featured Artist.” This month, he has also decided to be featured in “Brain Dead,” which will be included in the new album by British metalcore band Architects, making him one of the most popular artists in the heavy music scene. There is.
House of Protection, which pursues free expression without being bound by genre, continues to overwhelm the audience with its live performances. Last month, they held their first official tour as the main supporter of Bad Omens and Poppy’s tour of Australia, attracting a total of over 25,000 people in five performances and performing new songs. In the future, he has been confirmed to perform as main support for 11 performances of Poppy’s “They’re All Around Us” tour, and in 2025 he is also scheduled to appear at major festivals around the world.

■About House of Protection
Stephen Harrison and Aric Improta could have been completely separated from the music industry if they hadn’t seen a new passion in 2023. That passion is their own band. Improta says:
“Now that we’ve reached this point, there’s no point in doing it unless we’re the ‘our favorite band’.”
After success with the iconic post-hardcore band Fever 333 and their previous careers at The Chariot and Night Verses, they once distant from all competition and pressure, and are the origins. He formed House of Protection to regain his “love for music.” “Put all the things you think are cool as a kid.”
House of Protection’s second EP, “The House of Protection, is based on everything from Atlanta’s trap music to UK trip hop, post-punk and alternative, stadium anthem-like songs, art rock, and even film production and skateboarding culture. Outrun You All embodies their philosophy of “If you feel good, do it, and then do it as if it were a life-threatening thing.”
House of Protection, which released his debut EP “GALORE” with “No Rules or Expectations”, will finally be taking the scene seriously with “Outrun You All.” The title is taken from one of Harrison’s numerous tattoos and is also a homage to Converge’s classic “Black Cloud,” released in 2004. Outrun You All is a work with a strong, independent message, and can also be said to be a companion piece that depicts the “night side” of the previous work, “GALORE.” Like the second disc of The Smashing Pumpkins’ Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, the darker parts are darker, the beautiful moments are even more beautiful, and the risks are even more bolder.
The foundation of all this is the “confidence as a solid artist” that was gained by his debut work, GALORE. It was no surprise that fans of past bands like Harrison and Improta were welcomed, but GALORE went beyond that and quickly attracted attention beyond the boundaries of the American hardcore scene. Less than a year after its release, it has been praised by music media such as NME, The Guardian, and Revolver, and has also been selected as Spotify’s “2025 Featured Artist.” This success gave them the freedom to “not have to be experts” and they could pursue “new and exciting things” rather than “the familiar.” “Outrun You All” is packed with moments where not only the listeners but also the band themselves are surprised. Improta says, “I like Quentin Tarantino’s words, ‘If I’m going to write a good story, I should write without knowing where I’m going to end up.”
The film celebrates the confidence built up by House of Protection, but the title contains a deeper meaning that goes beyond respect for their musical heroes. “Outrun You All” is also a tribute to friends and friends who have not been able to follow the same path as them. “We’ve been talking about it all the time. How hard it is to see talented people giving up on what they’re doing,” Improta said. “But we don’t think that’s the case. We share and inspire each other’s passions every day. And the best moments are coming.”
Outrun You All is truly a piece that shows Improta and Harrison gain new momentum and the band House of Protection have reached the real starting line.
