Music event “Grooving Night” is now available as a special terrestrial TV program! SIRUP x Ayumu Imazu 2-man live! Talk and session in pajamas

Friday, February 21st, 25:30am – 26:00pm scheduled to air on Yomiuri TV

The music event “Grooving Night,” hosted by singer-songwriter SIRUP, will be broadcast for the fourth time as a music special on Yomiuri TV! The show aired on “Grooving Night #4” which was held at Orix Theatre in Osaka on September 20th last year.

The guest this time is Ayumu Imazu, the most powerful artist who is currently active in the United States and Japan, and won the Japan Record Awards Project Award last year. With the concept of “having a grooved night before going to bed,” the host SIRUP will deliver one-night-only live and talk on a stage inspired by a “relaxed night room.”

Active both domestically and internationally from Osaka! The first special collaboration stage for two groups who have friends in private!

Each of them performed a passionate stage on the show. At the beginning, there is SIRUP’s “Do Well,” which has also been covered by Ayumu Imazu in the past. Next, Ayumu Imazu performed his signature song, “Obsessed,” which won the Japan Record Awards Project Award last year, to liven up the show. In the talk part, SIRUP and Ayumu Imazu sit on the bed in their pajamas, in a set inspired by a relaxed room at night, and the artists talk honestly. The audience cheered, “It’s so cute,” as she wore her pajamas, which she wouldn’t normally see, but Ayumu Imazu sat at the closest distance in the event’s history, perhaps due to tension. “This is the first time I’ve ever sat so close!” SIRUP softened the atmosphere and laughed at the venue.

“We want to deliver entertainment that everyone can enjoy with peace of mind” passionate talk that really clashes

Their two people, who are from Osaka, have a sense of affinity through local talk, and the first topic of conversation, “What are the differences in values from Japan that they feel when they live abroad?” are active both domestically and internationally. The two talk on a variety of topics unique to people. In “What phrase do you like about each other’s songs?”, Ayumu Imazu chose SIRUP’s “Superpower.” SIRUP expresses his passion for the lyrics of the phrase “Everybody`s waiting around for the new normal,” selected by Ayumu Imazu, saying, “I changed the lyrics because I didn’t want to leave anyone behind.”

Grooving Night provides viewing support for people with visual and hearing impairments under the theme of “entertainment that everyone can enjoy with peace of mind.” This initiative is also introduced, and the two of them actually experienced it before the concert. We will also be introducing an interview with SIRUP with Pride Center Osaka, which is working to deepen understanding of LGBTQ+ and expand the circle of support, which is being held in the lobby on the day.

At the end of the live performance, the venue was brought together with SIRUP’s “Your Love,” which also has a desire to create a society where each other can respect each other. And at “Superstar,” choreographed by Ayumu Imazu, they performed a groove-filled performance, bringing together the venue and lively.

The final session was a one-night stand for the two of them. This time, we will be playing the “Treasure” by Bruno Mars, which the two groups admire, in an “acoustic version” with Ayumu Imazu’s guitar playing. Stay tuned for this valuable special collaboration that can only be seen here!

And at the end of the programme, guest artist SKY-HI, will also appear for the next performance! Don’t miss out on the SP conversation where SIRUP and the two talk about the highlights of the next performance!
