Hip Hop legend and Wu-Tang Clan stalwart Ghostface Killah releases his first new album in five years, “Set The Tone (Guns & Roses)”

Ghostface Killah, a veteran rapper of the Wu-Tang Clan and a stalwart of the hip-hop scene, has completed a new album for the first time in five years. He’s back with an album titled “Set The Tone (Guns & Roses).” The talented lyrical genius MC released an album consisting of 19 songs to the world.

The new album “Set The Tone (Guns & Roses)” includes the previously released single “YUPP!” (feat. Remy Ma) featuring Remy Ma. Music website Stereogum described the song as “a stripped-down, head-turning track that unleashes all the intense energy that made Ghost legendary.” Ghostface Killah’s 12th studio album will also include a new single, “Scar Tissue,” featuring Nas. This stunning collaboration marks the first time the two have met since Raekwon’s 1995 debut album, “Verbal Intercouse,” which was included in “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…”.

Set The Stone (Guns & Roses) is Ghostface Killah’s first full-length album since 2019’s Ghostface Killahs. This is the first release from Mass Appeal. The album includes Nas, Ye (named after Kanye West), Raekwon, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Sheik Roach, Ja Rule, Jim Jones, Trevor Jackson, October London, Bee-B, and more. Many big-name artists are participating in collaborations. After collaborating with Kendrick Lamar on his album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” and Westside Gunn’s mixtape “10,” he has finally completed his own album.

Over the years, Ghostface Killah has secured his place as one of the most contemporary cultural icons for an entire generation. Frankly, he has nothing to prove. But still, as a legendary rapper, once he decided to rap, he continued to create hip-hop that set a high bar.

What is Ghostface Killah?

Rapper Ghostface Killah, a masterful storyteller in everything from graphic crime fantasies to heart-rending autobiographical memoirs, is the author of Enter, the pioneering debut album by the New York Staten Island hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan. It was first seen in “The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)” (1993). Since his debut solo album, Ironman (1996), he has built up an extensive solo discography. The platinum-certified Ironman solidified his partnership with RZA, whose mutating dusty soul sensibilities are recognized as soundtracks or influences on many of his best works. During the early Epic Records era, which was a huge commercial success, they released another masterpiece, “Supreme Clientele” (2000). After that, he transferred to Def Jam and released a total of six solo albums, including “Fishscale” (2006), which reached the top 10 on the US general album chart for the fourth time. Over the next ten years, he continued to build on his own legacy with an endlessly creative body of work. Many of his works include collaborations with RZA-influenced artists such as Adrian Young, BadBadNotGood, and Scissorface, including Twelve Reasons To Die (2013) and its sequel (2015), Sour Soul ” (2015) and “Czarface Meets Ghostface” (2019). In the 2020s, feature appearances and one-off collaborations continued.
