YOASOBI released their new song “PLAYERS” today, Friday, March 21st, 2025. This song is a newly written song born from the project “Project: MEMORY CARD,” a project commemorating the 30th anniversary of the release of the original PlayStation®. With the concept of “saving PlayStation’s memories into songs,” the public is looking for episodes of “a game you want to erase and play again.” The song was produced based on the collected “#MemoryOfPlay.” The song opens with catchy chants, and the repeated chorus phrases create a sense of excitement. This song is filled with a positive message, with the experiences and words taught by the protagonists and stories he encountered in the world of games that push you into your real life and raise your expectations for the future. Furthermore, the project’s special website is currently releasing your save data for “#MemoryOfPlay.” I hope you’ll check this out along with the song too.
The 30th anniversary special commercial featuring the songs released today features actors Nishino Nanase, VTuber Usada Pekora, and game commentator Kiyo as voice actors. The story follows the characters, inspired by the individual performers themselves, and travel into the world of games using a mysterious memory card.
We hope you will enjoy this special song and commercial, which is born from the connection of the love of games and memories, from game lovers to musicians, actors, VTubers, game commentators, and all kinds of barriers across Japan. Don’t miss out on further details about “Project: MEMORY CARD.”

Congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation. I really love the world of this video, and when combined with the music, it makes me excited no matter how many times I watch it. The three characters were different and each of them contained elements, which made me even more attached to them.
I play PlayStation on everything from the original to the latest PlayStation®5. I feel like the discs from old games are split up, and the sense of accomplishment when I switch discs is still in my mind. I also treasured the memory card that is included in this video. I remember that I properly wrote labels and also wrote my own name to avoid losing track of what my brother was.
I am very happy to see that the PlayStation is 30 years old and I am the same age as me, so I am very happy to see that I am connected to you.

Congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation.
Even now that I was a child and became an adult, the PlayStation remains an irreplaceable presence for me.
I’ve been playing games on my own, with my parents and siblings, friends, and now online with people all over the world.
I have as many memories as I have played with and played with many people.
We are pleased to be able to participate in this wonderful project in our 30th anniversary year.
Amazing visuals and music. It’s a nostalgic, new world, but nowhere. I was captivated by the speedy development.
The character Ki 3 is almost entirely pronounced Kiyo. It was the most enjoyable performance. It was also great that we were able to perform with a group of three of our best friends.
I’ll continue to look forward to your continued support until my memory card capacity is full!

When creating the song, are there any particular points you pay attention to? (Composer Ayase)
I love the game myself, and I’ve been and still play it. I think it’s no exaggeration to say that it has grown with the game.
I believe that there are many lessons learned from the dramas and stories depicted as the main character of the game faces various difficulties, and that is what makes him who he is today.
I think this song is packed with my own love for games, memories and emotions that have grown up with the games.
How did you feel when you first heard the song? (Vocalist: ikura)
First of all, I was so moved that I couldn’t help but send a message to Ayase (lol)
I have been watching game commentary since I was in high school, and I have felt that I have been supported by being exposed to games on a daily basis.
Combined with that, when I heard this song, my desire to play was explosive. I think it’s a song with a lot of love for my own games.
