Announces an EU/UK fall tour with Architects and a live EP release at The Roxy Los Angeles in May
House of Protection, which has been doing great again this year, has released a new, pioneering single from Red Bull Records today. “Fire” is the second leading single from his second EP, “Outrun You All,” scheduled to be released on May 23rd. As the title suggests, it is made up of intense guitars, high-pitched sirens, and powerful lyrics that burn with a punkish spirit.
The band said about the single:
“My goal with Fire was to write songs that were just infectious and energy-filled. It’s a song that makes you want to dance and mosh. I think it’s a difficult balance to achieve. This is the only new song I played on tour before its release, and it’s already my favorite song that’s the most fun to play live.”
After finishing the Spring 2025 tour dates, House of Protection will return to The Roxy in Los Angeles and hold a special live show on May 24th (524) to celebrate the release of “Outrun You All.” This day was the same birthday for the two members, and the number “524” is an iconic motif that also appears in the band’s merchandise and the intro to the EP.
Earlier this year, House of Protection took its first tour of Australia with Bad Omens and Poppy, performing in front of more than 25,000 new fans. Shortly thereafter, he joined Architects’ single “Brain Dead (feat. House of Protection).” The song was featured on the album The Sky, The Earth, & All Between, which reached number one on the UK Rock and Metal charts, and also produced an adrenaline-filled music video. In the future, he will be re-joining Poppy’s US tour in April and Architects’ EU/UK tour in October, and in between, he will also be appearing at major festivals such as Download, Reading and Leeds.
House of Protection “Afterlife”
A sought after the most influential collaborators in the scene, House of Protection jumped into the center of the scene not quietly but proudly. Less than a year after its formation, it has surpassed 850,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and has also been selected as the “2025 Popular Artist” on the platform. Their genre-crossing genre-over debut EP, GALORE, has received high praise from The Guardian, Kerrang!, Revolver, and other companies, and ranked 14th in “Current Hard Rock Albums” and 15th in “Alternative New Artist Albums.” This momentum will prove their bottomless energy in their next project.
■About House of Protection
Stephen Harrison and Aric Improta could have been completely separated from the music industry if they hadn’t seen a new passion in 2023. That passion is their own band. Improta says:
“Now that we’ve reached this point, there’s no point in doing it unless we’re the ‘our favorite band’.”
After success with the iconic post-hardcore band Fever 333, and their previous careers at The Chariot and Night Verses, they once distant from all competition and pressure, and formed House of Protection to regain the origins of the “love for music.” “Put all the things you think are cool as a kid.”
House of Protection’s second EP, “Outrun You All,” which incorporates everything from Atlanta trap music to UK trip hop, post-punk and alternatives, stadium anthem-like songs, art rock, and even film production and skateboarding culture, embody their philosophy of “If it feels good, do it, and then do it as if it’s a life-threatening thing.”
The foundation of all this is the “confidence as a solid artist” that was gained by his debut work, GALORE. It was no surprise that fans of past bands like Harrison and Improta were welcomed, but GALORE went beyond that and quickly attracted attention beyond the boundaries of the American hardcore scene. Less than a year after its release, it has been praised by music media such as NME, The Guardian, and Revolver, and has also been selected as Spotify’s “Artists To Watch 2025 (2025’s Best Artist).” This success gave them the freedom to “not have to be experts” and they could pursue “new and exciting things” rather than “the familiar.” “Outrun You All” is packed with moments where not only the listeners but also the band themselves are surprised. Improta says, “I like Quentin Tarantino’s words, ‘If I’m going to write a good story, I should write without knowing where I’m going to end up.”
The film celebrates the confidence built up by House of Protection, but the title contains a deeper meaning that goes beyond respect for their musical heroes. “Outrun You All” is also a tribute to friends and friends who have not been able to follow the same path as them. “We’ve been talking about it all the time. How hard it is to see talented people giving up on what they’re doing,” Improta said. “But we don’t think that’s the case. We share and inspire each other’s passions every day. And the best moments are coming.”
Outrun You All is truly a piece that shows Improta and Harrison gain new momentum and the band House of Protection have reached the real starting line.
