Former First Lady Michelle Obama also praised the Emotional Oranges, an R&B/POP duo from LA, has been confirmed to appear in GREENROOM FESTIVAL!

New songs from their upcoming debut album are also available

It has been decided that Emotional Oranges, an alternative R&B/POP duo who has also publicly declared a big fan of former first lady Michelle Obama, has come to Japan. He will appear at GREENROOM FESTIVAL, which will be held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse from Friday, May 23rd to Sunday, May 25th (starting on the 24th (Saturday). They also released their new song “Out The Blue.” They will work hard at full throttle towards the release of their upcoming debut album.

The new single “Out The Blue” features a fusion of R&B and POP, which they specialize in, and sings about a fleeting love that suddenly appears and disappears. From the perspectives of both, the story depicts a subtle tactic between passion and disillusionment, connection and misunderstanding.

Member Vali Porter talks about his new song “Out The Blue.”

“This song, “Out The Blue,” is a heartbreak story told from two perspectives: a man who feels misunderstood and lying, and a woman who feels unacceptable and ununderstandable. They both fall in love in a beautiful way…so, they come suddenly (Out The Blue). In fact, according to the color wheel, blue is the opposite of orange, and the two are in a complementary colour.”

“Out The Blue” is a new single that shows off the different side of the Emotional Oranges. Their diversity will be demonstrated and their talent for freely transforming mood and sound will surely be recognized. The song was written and composed by members Azad Naffysy and Kelly Valentina Porter, and Dante Jones of R&B duo THEY., and produced by Dante Jones (THEY., Chris Brown). Ahead of their long-awaited debut album, it marks the beginning of a new chapter for the LA duo.
