GREENROOM FESTIVAL will finally be appearing next weekend! LA R&B/POP duo Emotional Oranges releases debut album “Orenjii”

Becky G, JAEHYUN and others participated in the album, inspiration from Japan and Korea

Emotional Oranges, an R&B/POP duo who will be appearing on GREENROOM FESTIVAL next week on Saturday, May 24th, finally makes their album debut. The two, which had been shrouded in mystery, have now unveiled their veil and released their album “Orenjii,” a kaleidoscopic blend of R&B, POP and 2000s nostalgia. Start a new chapter.

The album features guest appearances of popular musicians such as Jesse Rayez, Becky G, NCT’s JAEHYUN, Enisiah and Isaiah Falls. It contains 11 songs that are fully poured into intercultural energy and collaboration DNA.

The album’s title, “Orenjii,” is inspired by the “orange” in Korean and Japanese. Most of the songs were born in Seoul and Tokyo, and the presence of both cities and their fans leaves a clear trace of the sound and its aesthetics. The main theme is “junction” to fusion of worlds that we don’t normally meet and create new things.

The Emotional Oranges talks about the album:

“The last few years of our time in Seoul and Tokyo have had a strong impact on our overall tastes and inspired the title and concept of the album. They often accept our music and art faster than other cultures, and we have always been watching them. The lyrics of this album are based on narcissism and love for others. We wanted to create a collection of songs that would give us hope in our younger days.”

They continue like this.

“The large tours we’ve been doing have helped shape the sound of the album. It was an incredible sense of fulfillment that we were able to learn what kind of music connects people live, and build relationships with each and every fan. We have fans who have come to our shows since 2019 and have been watching us grow and evolve. This project has been a huge driving force behind them. It is important to be always honest with ourselves and be honest with ourselves that is different from others. We have believed that if we continue this path, one day we will have the results we want. In the end, we want to find a community that loves what we love.”

Her latest single, “Call It Off” (feat. JAEHYUN OF NCT), was featured in Forbes magazine, and within days of its release it has surpassed 1.6 million copies streaming. This response proves the deep connections they have with Emotional Oranges fans and the achievements they have built on their own.

“CANDY GUM (ft. Jessie Reyez & Becky G)”

The predecessor singles “CANDY GUM” (feat. Becky G & Jesse Rayez) and “Out The Blue” were featured on Spotify’s R&B Weekly and Channel-X, and gained strong support from media such as Rolling Stone, Entertainment Tonight, Wonderland, UPROXX, The Line Of Best Fit, TMRW, and Hunger.

This debut album, “Orengii,” is their first official album, but it will be the Emotional Oranges’ seventh project in total. With over 675 million streams to date and sold out performances across multiple continents, they continue to repay conventional wisdom as the most exciting artists in the music world. At the end of May, he appeared at GREENROOM FESTIVAL, which will be held in Yokohama. They will perform on stage with this debut album, “Orenjii.”
