The first digital single “PopPopBoomBoom!” will be released on June 10th, 2025 from the global artist training project “BASKETPROJECT”, which Sony Music Japan is running in Bangkok, Thailand.
This song is the “strongest sweet anthem” packed with colorful, positive energy typical of Gen Z, with three vocalists, Kaofang, Meedee and Oei, selected from the project. The theme of the song is “Cute Knows No Borders.” It contains the message of freely expressing “cuteness” across borders and languages.
“PopPopBoomBoom!” is a pop tune consisting of catchy melody with a playable beat and raps created by the members themselves. Choreography and phrases that are conscious of the TikTok generation are scattered everywhere, and viral hits, mainly on social media, are expected. The lyrics were written by Seiji Motoyama, and the songs were produced by YUU for YOU and Yu-ki Kokubo.
In addition, BASKETPROJECT has been decided to develop a multifaceted development in the future to become a bridge between Japan and Thailand, and is scheduled to perform in events in Thailand and Singapore.
