Grammy-nominated rappers Blxst and Offset have teamed up to release the tropical summer anthem “Risk Taker.”

Grammy-nominated rapper, singer-songwriter and producer Blxst has joined forces with Atlanta icon and fellow Grammy-nominated rapper Offset following his debut performance at Coachella Festival 2024 last month. Along with this, they released a new song “Risk Taker” that will become this summer’s summer anthem. The song, with its tropical melodies and Afro-inspired beats, is a departure from Blxst’s typical LA-based R&B, but it’s a layer that showcases his multidimensional artistry.

Regarding the offset, Blxst says:

“Offset contacted me after[2022 album]Before You Go was released and asked me to rework a hook he had put together. His verse was already prepared and full of energy. It’s classy. Offset was my favorite member of the hip-hop group Migos. I’ve always admired his style and flow. That’s what I felt.”

Offset recently joined Killer Mike on an extended version of Blxst’s hard-hitting track “Exit 9.” Blxst says, “Sound-wise, it feels like the epitome of what a Blxst record should be. The sun is out, people are dancing, and it has a tropical feel.”

This is not the first collaboration with Offset. He also appeared on the extended version of Killer Mike and Blxst’s poignant track “Exit 9,” which was released last month. “Sound-wise, it feels like the epitome of what a Blxst record should be: the sun’s out, everyone’s dancing, it’s kind of tropical,” adds Blxst.
