Dreampop’s up-and-coming fifi leger releases second EP “Petal”

A soundscape that combines poetic lyrics with fleeting and warmth.

Dreampop’s upcoming star fifi léger has released his long-awaited second EP, Petal, on Wednesday, July 23rd.

She is also highly acclaimed as a lyricist, and has provided lyrics to many artists, including THE CHARM PARK, Ohashi Trio & THE CHARM PARK, V6, Nanba Shiho, Red Shoes, and Nornis. The words that are woven with delicate sensibilities and inclusive gazes have resonated with a wide range of listeners.

In this work, Petal, the world of lyrics is sublimated as an expression of himself. THE CHARM PARK participated in the sound production, creating a unique sound image that combines a retro texture with a modern transparency. The newness that lingers in nostalgia echoes like a gentle stroke of a distant memory.

The world of fifi leger blossoms with a soft yet solid presence.

“Petal” is a song that gives off a quiet, sparkle to everyone living in the present.

On a morning when I was a little unwell, I decided to go for a walk by myself and put on my earphones, and I started playing a song I had never heard before. I couldn’t understand all of the lyrics, but I felt that they were talking to someone who was very important to me. That voice wrapped around my body, and I felt a little energized. So instead of saying “thank you,” I wrote this song. It reached me like petals on the wind, so I hope my song would ride on the wind and reach someone else.
