Netherlands-based Bnnyhunna and Joya Mooi will be holding a performance in Japan at OPRCT in Yoyogi Uehara on Friday, September 19th, 2025.
Two artists are attracting attention at the forefront of the European R&B scene. Both have built their own unique sound with a style that combines African roots with modern sensibilities, and their latest work has received high praise from listeners in Japan as well. Bnnyhunna
Bnnyhunna has its roots in Ghana and is currently based in the Netherlands.
In addition to jazz, hip hop and R&B, he has built a unique musical style rooted in West African culture, his roots. He has attracted attention for his crossover sound that gives him a deep respect for his roots, and has performed with Rimon, José James, Arp Frique, Nnleg, Blue Lab Beats, and Akwasi.
His debut album, “ECHOES OF PRAYER,” released last year, achieved a feat of winning the Soul/R&B/Funk category at the “Edison Pop Award 2025,” also known as the Dutch Grammy Award. He is one of the talents that the world should be paying attention to right now.

Joya Mooi
Joya Mooi has roots in South Africa and is currently based in the Netherlands.
It combines the cultural background of South Africa with the urban sensibilities of Amsterdam, and expresses the influences of R&B and indie pop in a fresh and innovative style. As a leader in the Dutch R&B scene, it has gained high support from famous artists such as Ful Crate, SIROJ, Pink Oculus and Jarreau Vandal.
The latest EP, Open Hearts, released last year, was selected as Spotify’s New Music Friday in seven countries, including Japan, and is attracting attention for its cutting-edge sound that combines electronic beats with soulful melody.
