Music collective 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE has released their latest single “Gasoline,” a collaboration with Korean rock singer-songwriter LØREN, through 88rising and RCA Records. An energetic music video was also released.

The song is a revival of pop-punk that was a shock for both genre-defying musical collective 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE and LØREN. LØREN sings about her confusion and struggle with her own internal issues and societal pressures. The music video, directed by James Mao, perfectly captures the teenage angst and rebellious spirit.

The new song “Gasoline” is 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE’s single following “Raw I Know I Got It” with NBA legend superstar Shaquille O’Neal, released in May. They released their debut compilation album “hella (˃̣̣̥╭╮˂̣̣̥) ✧ ♡ ‧º•˚:” in February this year. The album contains 24 songs in collaboration with A-class stars across genres, including Rich Brian, Warren Hugh, Ghostface Killah, Busta Rhymes, Smino, Cuco, Amaray, Offset, Bad Bad Not Good, Westside Gunn, and Damn Funded. While passing on the nostalgic knowledge and sensibility of 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE, the album was packed with the sights, sounds, and energy of Northern California culture and its surroundings, seen through the lens of 88rising principal Shawn Miyashiro’s childhood nostalgia and wonder.
