leift has released his new single "Bloody," a "blood-boiling" electronic pop track that is a modern interpretation of piano house.

Leift thoroughly reflected on himself in his first album “Beige,” and faced “himself and others” in the collaborative album “Citrus.” The theme of the new chapter is “Questioning ‘Many Others’.” In the lead up to the album scheduled for release next spring, he will be releasing singles monthly.

■ Musicality

“A question to the ‘many others'”. The first song, “Bloody”, is a song that invites the listener to get excited together, from “doing every day at 80%” to “going all out, so hot it gets your blood pumping”.

“I know, but why don’t you try to live every day being serious about yourself, being intoxicated with yourself?” is what Leift sings to modern adults who are expected to always keep an eye on themselves. Now that they have decided how they want to relate to themselves and others, the lyrics are written with full knowledge of their passion. Meanwhile, the minimalist track is a groovy dance pop that reinterprets piano house and analog acid bass with the TR-909 at its core.

The sound combines lightness that neutralizes the strong message with deep bass that digs into your abdomen. The high-density recording finished at 24bit/96kHz makes the sound feel like it penetrates deep into your cells. The songs were created using real analog synths and vintage recording equipment, and the mastering by Stuart Hawkes at Metropolis Studios in the UK has given them both strength and dignity, elevating them to a dazzling “new-age dance pop.”

My first album “Beige” was an album where I faced myself thoroughly, and then my collaborative album “Citrus” was made with new friends. Even after these two albums, I still feel uncomfortable living life giving 100% of myself.

I am aware that if I give it my all, I will be too passionate and the pressure will put those around me and society at a disadvantage. I also feel that I can’t fit in with 80% of the people around me, and more than anything, I am convinced that “adults who use the remaining 20% to give up or run away are lame.” I carefully and without regrets weighed these things together and created “Bloody” and the works I have released since.

Recently, I’ve been thinking about cooking as a hobby. There is a certain umami that can only come from the blood of fish, but if you handle the blood improperly, it just smells bad. That’s why I want to carefully prepare and handle it, and reach the peak taste that you can’t get if you remove everything.

“Bloody” is a song that I created by processing the blood of leift with all my heart. I hope you enjoy it.
