Three manga works written by Taizan 5, Yuki Kirishima, and Haruno Hiruga for the song will be released daily on “Shonen Jump+” starting today!
YOASOBI’s new song “Stage Standing, (Butai ni Tatte)” written for the “NHK Sports Theme 2024,” was released today, the day of the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The song is an uplifting guitar rock tune, written with the image of the struggles and excitement that athletes face. It is a song that will give a push not only to athletes, but to anyone who needs to take a courageous step forward.
To create the song, they asked three manga artists active in Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump+” – Taizan 5, Yuki Kirishima, and Hiruga Haruno – to create a work with a sports theme. Based on the manga, Jun Esaka wrote a novel, which was then used as the original novel to create the song.
And today, Taizan5’s original short story “Hanareta Futari” was released on “Shonen Jump+”. Yuki Kirishima’s “Parallel Lane” will be released tomorrow, the 27th (Sat), and Haruno Hiruga’s “Owaranai Deuce” will be released on the 28th (Sun). Each manga artist has a sports theme and the protagonists are struggling to improve themselves. We hope you enjoy them along with the music. The original novel written by Esaka Jun based on these manga works is currently available on the YOASOBI official website. It is said to be a work that will allow readers to understand and enjoy the project that crosses over the music and manga more deeply, incorporating the dynamism depicted in the manga, so be sure to check it out.
In addition, a teaser video for the music video was released today. The full version will be released soon, so please look forward to it.

▼YOASOBI comment
I have written a new song called “Stage Standing” for the “NHK Sports Theme 2024.”
We too have been deeply influenced by the athletes we see performing in various situations, and have been deeply touched and moved by them.
I am very honored to have this opportunity.
This song is not only a cheer for the athletes who will actually be competing,
We created this song with feelings that are common to us as artists, such as the conflict we feel before standing on the big stage and the excitement we feel at that moment.
I hope that I can be a support for the athletes, and I would be happy if the song can resonate with everyone who is cheering them on.
