Kamitsubaki City Under Construction is an original IP project that combines the story set in the virtual city of Kamitsubaki City, as well as the worldview of artists affiliated with KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO.
New information has been released at the special stage of this work held at AnimeJapan 2025.
The TV anime “Kamitsubaki City Under Construction” is scheduled to begin airing nationwide on 28 TBS stations every Thursday at 11:56am starting July 3, 2025. The main visual and first main PV have also been released, and the plot synopsis and staff information have been newly announced.
In addition to the five main characters, “The Witch’s Daughter,” cast by members of the virtual artist group VWP, Hanafu, Rime, Haruzaruka, I-Suru Kou, and Kouke, there have also been information about the characters played by a gorgeous voice actor, such as Laplus (CV: Sakura Ayane), Hasta (CV: Tomita Miyu), Aguni (CV: Azagami Yohei), Anemosu (CV: Umeda Shuichiro), Kugeru (CV: Todo Mai), and Chief of Reconstruction Section (CV: Ito Shizuka). Synopsis
Songs are magic – they can change the world and their destiny.
A world where human civilization was devastated by a major disaster that occurred seven years ago.
Kamitsubaki City, which was a research city for advanced science, was undergoing a miraculous recovery by making full use of these technologies. However, behind the prosperity, the monster “Teseracter”, born from human malice and desire, is causing strangeness in the city. The only thing that can resist the monster born out of malice is the singing voices of five girls called “The Witch’s Daughters.” In order to protect the peace of the city, they challenge Teseractor using their magical singing voices as weapons.
The story of girls who are fated begins in a city left behind in a broken world!

Teseracter is an oddball on the side of humans. It has the ability to speed up.
When he was human, he appears as a short boy, but his true identity is a giant blue fish monster.
His personality is cool and cynical. He doesn’t reveal his inner self, but for some reason he fights to protect Kaho.

You can see Kaho moving, played by Hanafu-chan, in the animation. It was a future I imagined one day, but when I realized it, it was very moving.
In the anime, I spent a huge amount of time with Kanafu-chan on LaPurasu. There were so many fun and painful things, but I still fell in love with Kanoho and everyone more.

“Kamitsubaki City Under Construction” is an original IP project that KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO has been producing since 2019.
This story explores the hidden mysteries of the virtual city of Kamitsubaki City and restores the city’s order and peace.
KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO has developed the original work and has been published in various formats up until now.
The main character will be voiced by members of the virtual artist group “VWP,” affiliated with KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO. Five virtual artists, Hanafu, Rime, Haruzaruka, I-Suryu Kokoi, and Kouhi will deliver music and stories.
A community that attracts over 20,000 participants, implements a user-participatory project using Discord and X (formerly Twitter). The story has been developed in a variety of genres, including ARG and TRPG, rhythm games in August 2024, and adventure games in March 2025.
The film, entitled SINKA ANIMATION SERIES, has also been announced to have a relationship with the virtual live series “SINKA LIVE SERIES,” which was released in 2023.

What is VWP -Virtual Witch Phenomenon-?
A virtual artist group that brings together five cyber witches, including Hanafu, Rime, Haruzaruka, Isekai Kokoro, and Kouhi, who belong to KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO.
