Tomori Kusunoki’s Message Song “back to back” Hits Digital Platforms!

Since her solo major debut in 2020, Tomori Kusunoki has seen all four of her EPs enter the Oricon Weekly Top 10, and this year, fans eagerly awaited the simultaneous release of her 1st full album.

Known for her role as Makima in the hit series “Chainsaw Man,” Kusunoki is gathering attention both as a singer-songwriter and voice actress.

Her latest track, “back to back,” is now digitally available. This song was specially created for her upcoming birthday live concert, “TOMORI KUSUNOKI BIRTHDAY LIVE 2023 ‘back to back’,” to be held on December 22nd (Japan time) at Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall.

At her summer live tour “TOMORI KUSUNOKI LIVE TOUR 2023 ‘PRESENCE / ABSENCE’,” during the final performance, Kusunoki declared in front of a massive crowd, “No matter if you’re told ‘you’re not needed,’ or even if you think that about yourself, you don’t have to feel that way at my concerts. To me, you’re essential, and I will continue to create a place where you can feel the same.” The song she wrote and composed for this upcoming concert embodies this powerful message to her fans.

Voice Actress and Singer-Songwriter. Notable roles include Makima in “Chainsaw Man,” Llenn/Karen Kohiruimaki in “Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online,” Misha Necron in “The Misfit of Demon King Academy II: History’s Strongest Demon King Reincarnates and Goes to School with His Descendants,” Kanade Yoisaki in “Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku,” and Tsukika Kayamori in “Heaven Burns Red.” Kusunoki made her major debut in 2020 with “Hamidashimono,” and all four of her released EPs have entered the Oricon TOP 10. In May 2023, she simultaneously released her first full albums, “PRESENCE / ABSENCE.” In September of the same year, she successfully performed a solo concert at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL. While actively working as a voice actress, she also writes and composes her own songs, and even designs her live performance merchandise, showcasing her talents in various fields.
