BLIND CHANNEL, a six-piece group from Finland, has announced that they will release their documentary film “Blind Channel: After Dark Side” worldwide on December 16th.
This video work, named after their big hit single “Dark Side”, features unreleased footage of the group as they take on the world and achieve success. Through five different episodes, it depicts the rigors of pursuing global success, touring life, and making records. The series will be released on “Yle Areena” (Yle’s VOD platform) and will be available for viewing worldwide for 6 months (until June 16, 2025).
The documentary will also be the last content from the band for some time. BLIND CHANNEL will suspend their activities after 2024 with the clear goal of focusing on their future activities. The band released the following comment:
■BLIND CHANNEL Comment
Over the past four years, we have experienced more than we could have ever dreamed of. After two studio albums and 300 shows around the world, it’s time to blow out the candle before it burns out at both ends. We have decided to suspend our activities at the end of 2024. I don’t know for how long, but it’s time to step back from the spotlight and think about the future. Thankfully, the craziness of the past few years has been thoroughly and carefully documented.
A documentary film called “After Dark Side” will be released in December. This documentary is a brutally honest look at the band’s wildest years, its members’ daily lives, their ups and downs, and more. Before that, you can see us live on a two-week tour in the UK and of course on a special and rare club tour across Finland from November to December. I sincerely thank the fans who have supported me over the years. What a journey it was
The band’s last single before their hiatus, “Everybody (Bloodbros Back),” was released last month, and the music video has also been released.
