AS I LAY DYING’s Ken Susi (guitar) and Nick Pierce (drum) announced their departure from the band on their respective SNS.
Ken Susi said, “Unfortunately, my personal morals have been tested to breaking point recently, and what could have been the best second chance for this band has now come to a saddest end.” Nick Pierce said, “This was far from the outcome I expected, and for the sake of my personal health and integrity, I felt it necessary to distance myself from the band.” “There is,” he commented.
Regarding Ryan Neff (Ba/Vo), who recently announced his departure, Ken Susi said, “Ryan Neff has been receiving a lot of backlash for leaving first, but I wish I could have shared this decision sooner with my friend. I regret that I should have faced him with more confidence – he is a perfect musician and an even more wonderful human being.
Ken Susi, Nick Pierce, and Ryan Neff will all participate in AS I LAY DYING in 2022. This withdrawal was announced in anticipation of the release of AS I LAY DYING’s new album “Through Storms Ahead” on November 15th.
