Simon Dawson replaces IRON MAIDEN drummer Nicko McBrain who announced his retirement from touring!

IRON MAIDEN have announced that Simon Dawson will be their touring drummer, replacing drummer Nicko McBrain who announced his retirement from touring!

Simon Dawson is a former session drummer who has been with BRITISH LION for the past 12 years as a rhythm section partner to Steve Harris (Bas).

Originally from Suffolk, England, Simon first teamed up with Steve in 2012. He has performed all three songs from BRITISH LION’s first album and their second album, and has also toured in the US, UK, Europe, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and most recently in Mexico and South America.

IRON MAIDEN will celebrate their 50th anniversary next year, and will be holding a “Run For Your Lives Tour” starting with their Budapest performance in May.
