WITHIN TEMPTATION have announced the departure of longtime keyboardist Martijn Spierenburg.
Martijn released the following statement:
After 24 wonderful years, I have made the bittersweet decision to leave WITHIN TEMPTATION. This journey has been nothing short of special, filled with unforgettable moments, countless gigs, and the privilege of sharing music with amazing people, including the band and staff. I am truly grateful for all the moments we have shared, both on stage and especially off stage, and I will cherish these memories forever. Together with my fellow band members, I was able to accomplish more than I ever dreamed of when I first started learning piano in 1984. WITHIN TEMPTATION wasn’t just a band to me, it was family. Leaving is not a decision taken lightly.
As I step away from the band, I am looking forward to working on new projects that will allow me to grow as a musician and as a person. Even after this chapter ends, my love and respect for my band members will always remain with me.
To all my fans, I can’t thank you enough for your support, energy, and love over the years. You are the center of my journey and I am forever grateful.
