“BABYMETAL’s Metal Radio!” is the personality of BABYMETAL, which is aired every Saturday from 7:30pm on TOKYO FM. Over four weeks, April 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th, B’z’s Matsumoto Takahiro will be invited as a guest and have a variety of conversations!
When he first debuted, Matsumoto Takahiro was a regular program personality for many years on the same TOKYO FM. He went back to his encounter with BABYMETAL when Matsumoto Takahiro visited “OZZFEST JAPAN 2015” when BABYMETAL hadn’t been performing much at festivals in Japan yet, and recalls the live performance he had seen at the time, saying, “I was really glad.” Regarding his first appearance at the NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen, which became a hot topic at the end of last year, he said, “He’s been active for about 37 years, but still, there’s something he’s not done yet, and it’s the first time he’s done. The same goes for the Kouhaku Uta Gassen.” BABYMETAL asked him about the trigger that made him start music, and Matsumoto Takahiro talked about his encounter with music, how he started playing the guitar, and his outlook on life through guitar, as well as the behind-the-scenes story of the production of “Ultra Soul” and the metal that Matsumoto himself likes.
