WOE, IS ME has announced that they will release their new song, “Here’s To Me (A Story To Tell Pt. 2)” on April 11th. He also officially announced the departure of keyboard and vocalist Ben Ferris, who had recently announced his departure on social media, and bassist Cory Ferris.
The band has explained on social media, “First and foremost that the band has broken up with the Ferris brothers. This kind of decision is never easy. We have no malice for Ben and Cory, and we wish them happiness. But we want to explain things from our point of view. We have been working so hard for this new album over the past year. It’s our commitment and passion for music that has driven us here in the first place. I’ll stop explaining in detail about their involvement in the making of this album, but honestly, this album would sound the same whether they were involved or not. The other members made it at a great cost, but the lack of interest and participation ultimately decided to continue with the five of us alone.”
He also mentioned the cancellation of the Japan performance. “First and most importantly, we really don’t want to cancel performances, and we sincerely apologise to everyone affected. But to dispel rumors, we want to make it clear that the band has not had any direct interactions with the promoters of the performances from the time these performances were booked until the present. Also, the fact that the band stole/deposited money from the promoters is unfounded because we have not actually received any money or even received deposits. It is very unfortunate that these lies are being spread by individuals who know that they are not true. We once again apologise for the cancellation.”
Meanwhile, Ben Ferris told his social media that “the claim that I’m not involved in the composition process is bullshit. I’ve given your album a name. There’s no way I could name a theme album that I haven’t composed.”
