Fender Musical Instruments Corporation has announced the new signature model “Pro Series Signature Lee Malia LM-87” from the electric guitar/bass brand “Jackson®” to honor Lee Malia, guitarist of BRING ME THE HORIZON!
This model, which combines classic rock and modern style, was born after a close collaboration with Lee Malia. This film embodies the heavy and diverse sounds expressed through his aggressive playing style and complex solos. Domestic sales are scheduled for around August 2025.
Lee talks about his signature model: “I’m very pleased to be able to make this “Jackson LM-87″ surf caster. This is a guitar I’ve always dreamed of, and I’ve also paid particular attention to ease of use to cater to a variety of players. I hope all the players enjoy this guitar just like me.”
The “Pro Series Signature Lee Malia LM-87” was born as a model that embodies the overwhelming energy and performance accuracy of their continued evolution across genres, and is a high-performance guitar designed for guitarists who want to play both intense and elegantly. The “Pro Series Signature Lee Malia LM-87” is a model that realizes his rock style and music vision based on a custom shop model made by Mike Shannon, a favorite of Lee. The TOM-style bridge, with a tailpiece and fine tuner fixed, offers unwavering stability even with low tuning and heavy picking, which are characteristic of Lee’s guitar play. The offset Surfcaster(TM) body shape and thin open-pore finish bounded okume body and neck combine the unique vintage charm and modern decoration that crosses the boundaries of alternative rock.
Additionally, the “D” shape 3-piece Okumen neck, which uses 3-ply pick guard and chrome hardware, is suitable for high-speed play, and is equipped with a binding amaranth fingerboard, providing smooth playability. Jackson signature pickups, including a bridge humbucker with push/pull coil split, offer a variety of tone options and provide the sound Lee envisions. This signature model features a vintage atmosphere and high-performance features, making it a recommended model for players who value dignified, heavy tones and smooth playability.
