BAND-MAID’s latest song, “What is justice?”, has been decided to be the ending theme song for the TV anime “Togen Anaki,” which will start airing on July 11th! BAND-MAID will be performing an anime tie-up for three consecutive seasons starting in January 2025.
The TV anime “Togen Anaki” is based on the popular manga by Urushibara Yurai, which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten) since 2020. Based on the folk tale “Momotaro,” which is known to all Japanese people, it depicts the struggle between those with demon blood and those with Momotaro blood, and the total number of copies of the comic has sold over 3 million. The “Togen Anaki” Project” was launched in June 2023, and the first “Togen Anaki” stage performance was well received by a huge cast including Abe Kenran, and from January 2025, the “Togen Anaki” stage performance – Nerima Edition” was performed at Tennozu Galaxy Theatre. The second installment was announced to be made into an anime in May 2024, and the third installment was made into a game, attracting more and more attention.

■Kobato Miku (Gt/Vo) Comments
I am truly pleased to be involved with this theme song for the ending theme song for the TV anime “Togen Anaki.” After reading the original manga, I felt a lot of heart warmed over and over again by the battle between the demons and those of Momotaro’s blood! I was very impressed by the idea of ”What is justice?” and I thought I’d put that thought into the lyrics. I hope that everyone watching the anime will be able to get deeper into the world of “The Treasure Anaki” through BAND-MAID’s “What is justice?”! I can’t wait for the anime to air!
It has also been decided that the Japan Premiere (advance screening) will be held on June 21st. In addition to screenings from episodes 1 to 3, there will also be a talk show with a gorgeous cast. In addition, live viewing will be held at theaters nationwide, giving you the opportunity to listen to the ending theme song, so don’t miss it!
