BABYMETAL is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. To celebrate the 15th anniversary, it has been announced that content based on BABYMETAL songs will be released on two major platforms: VRChat and Roblox!
This is the first time a domestic artist has deployed content on both VRChat and Roblox platforms. BABYMETAL, which has fans all over the world, will create new experiences starting with BABYMETAL songs in a metaverse space where people can gather at the same time and at the same place from around the world.
VRChat will open “Avatar Dance Stage,” where you can dance BABYMETAL songs, open today, July 1st! VRChat is one of the largest VR social metaverses in the world, which is rapidly growing in Japan, and this time, “Avatar Dance Stage” allows anyone to easily and perfectly dance two songs, “Gimikoko!!” and “Megitsune,” which are highly popular all over the world, using their own avatars. The distinctive and difficult choreography of BABYMETAL is recorded in motion capture, allowing users to have an immersive experience that makes them seem like they’ve become members with just simple operations.
Roblox will also release the multiplayer horror game “BABYMETAL MONSTERS,” based on the popular song “Headband!!” on July 11th! The content is full of thrills, as you run away from monsters chasing you, searching for hidden stone slabs. In the space before the game starts, the user’s own avatars will be headbanded along with the bone characters, and the BABYMETAL gallery will appear after the game play, creating an opportunity for more people to understand the appeal of BABYMETAL.
Roblox is also known as the “game version of YouTube,” and is one of the largest game metaverse in the world, with a monthly user base of 380 million people, mainly for the Z and Alpha generations.
