HYDE’s new song “BLEEDING” has been chosen as the opening theme song for the nationwide drama “Warau Shukujo” which will start airing on July 27th on Tokai TV/Fuji TV!
The drama “The Laughing Lady” is a live-action adaptation of the extremely popular series by best-selling author Shichiri Nakayama, known as the “King of Plot Twists,” whose works have sold over 250,000 copies (as of July 2024) and are popular overseas in countries such as Korea, Thailand, and China. The drama is a shocking psycho-suspense story in which Gamo Michiru, a rare villain played by Uchida Rio, sends people to hell one after another.
The new song “BLEEDING” features an intense beat, raw emotional shouts, a melodic yet somewhat sad singing voice in the chorus, and expresses the feelings of wandering in search of the truth of the real world, making it a song that is sure to generate call and response at live shows!
Regarding the selection of this song, HYDE commented, “Thank you for offering me the opening song. When I submitted ‘BLEEDING’ I wondered if a metal song like this would be okay, but then I got a message from the director saying, ‘The worldview of the drama, the music and lyrics are a perfect match, so I’m looking forward to the reaction,’ and I was happy. I hope that ‘BLEEDING’, which means ‘bleeding’, will take us to an even more terrifying world, just like the terrifying and heart-shaking ‘Laughing Lady’.” Be sure to check it out!
