■ Message from LuckyFes Planning Producer Dragon
LuckyFes is entering its fourth summer this year. For three days on August 9th, 10th and 11th, a festival where music and smiles intersect will begin at the state-run Hitachi Seaside Park, embraced by the sky and the sea of Hitachinaka in Ibaraki.
LuckyFes has put forward a new way of enjoying the theme park style festival. Not only music, but food, art, experiences and culture resonate in one space, making time seem like you’ve been lost in an “amusement park of sensibility.” We have set the challenge of “a festival that can be enjoyed by three generations” straightforward and seriously. We are seriously trying to create a “resonant landscape” in which the laughter of kids, the excitement of our parents’ generation, and the gaze of our grandparents’ generation blend together under the same sky.
Of course, there is no compromise on the music experience, which is the “core” of festivals. The timetable to be announced today is carefully woven together the atmosphere, heat and overlap of each time period so that the performers and visitors can woven together people’s “Lucky” stories.
LuckyFes is created with the hearts and hearts of passionate staff, volunteers, local residents, businesses, artists, and many people, with a focus on general producer Hori Yoshito. Although it is from the region, we look at it far and wide. We are steadily moving forward one step at a time, aiming to become “one of the largest festivals in Asia.”
The genre or generation of the artists featured are intentionally not bordered. That is the essence of LuckyFes as a “music crossroads.” We believe in this free coincidence where someone else’s “natural” meets someone else’s “fresh” and someone else’s “fresh” meet.
The timetable we bring you today was born from sincerely listening to the voices we received from you. In other words, it is a “response” from us to everyone and “hospitality.” The order, flow, and intersecting energy have meaning, but there is no correct way to enjoy it. You can also continue to chase after your favorite artist, or you can stop and surrender yourself to an unknown sound. That freedom is the real joy of a festival.
In the middle of summer. I hope that it will be a lucky three days that will shake your heart. May this summer be an unforgettable summer in life.
Meet music and smiles at the state-run Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki.
