It has been decided that EPICA, a Dutch symphonic metal band that released their latest album, Aspiral, in April, will be visiting Japan for the first time in eight years!
EPICA is based on the project SAHARA DUST, which was being carried out by guitarist Mark Jansen, and in 2002, he welcomed current vocalist Simone Simons, and in 2003 he changed his band name to “EPICA” and made his debut with the album “The Phantom Agony.” In 2017, he first visited Japan, and it became a hot topic, releasing a mini album called “EPICA VS Attack On Titan Songs,” which covers the theme song for the Japanese television anime “Attack on Titan.” They also have no shortage of talk, including participating as special guests on METALLICA tours and holding large-scale performances in collaboration with orchestras.
The Japan Tour, which is a must-see for all metal fans, not just Symphonic/Gothic Metal fans, will be held at LIQUIDROOM in Tokyo on December 2nd and at BIGCAT in Osaka on December 3rd. Official advance reservations have started, so be sure to check them out!
