The music festival “TOKYO ISLAND,” which will be held at the vast park “Umi no Mori Park (Forest Creation Area),” which is conveniently located about 15 minutes by car from the Odaiba district of Tokyo, has announced the second round of performing artists and dates!

■Message from “TOKYO ISLAND” Captain Jun Kano
As we enter June and the scent of summer festivals begins to waft through the air, we are pleased to announce the second wave of performing artists!
This time, there were 10 groups over the three days. Once again, the best artists have been lined up! With this, there are a total of 22 groups, and I think you are starting to get an idea of what the third TOKYO ISLAND will be like.
When you think of festivals, you think of artists and bands like these, artists and bands returning to the scene, artists and bands who perform shows where you never know what’s going to happen, artists and bands who are already familiar with TOKYO ISLAND even though it’s their third time here, artists and bands that will surprise you with their unexpectedness, and so on. It’s really a joy for us as a festival to see such a variety of colors and expectations among the 22 acts. What’s more, the third and final day of this festival will be an extremely special day where we will celebrate androp’s 15th anniversary with them and their friends.
TOKYO ISLAND has been focusing on the story of holding the festival in a park site that is still unknown to anyone, but the park is scheduled to open next spring. In other words, this festival will be the last festival held in a mysterious place that no one knows about. The park has been leveled, street lights have been installed, and paths and boardwalks have been completed.
This year’s Sea Forest Park will be a turning point as it transforms from a “plaza” for the Tokyo Olympics into the largest park in Tokyo, and I sincerely hope that everyone will enjoy this fantastic live performance to the fullest.
“Differences” are very important for a festival, and TOKYO ISLAND, including the venue itself, is a festival filled with differences. This year, we will hold the festival with many “differences” and dreams in our hearts.
This festival offers the best live performances and environment as a music festival, but at the same time, there are also plenty of other things to do and enjoy besides the live performances.
This year too, the “Musical Fireworks” will be set off to accompany famous songs. If you take a car ride through the location surrounded by nature, you’ll see something unexpected!
“Dinosaur Exploration Tour” where you can encounter dinosaurs. You don’t find dinosaurs, you become them! You can enjoy “Tyrannosaurus Race” to your heart’s content along with various workshops and gourmet food. This time, in order to further enhance the attractions and outdoor activities, we are “openly accepting applications” for workshops! For children, adults, families, and solo travelers.
We have already developed a variety of play equipment and crafts that can be enjoyed by children, but we wanted to discover new forms of play, so we decided to open the door to new ideas.
We sincerely look forward to receiving applications from individuals and groups who think they have something that coexists with nature in an outdoor setting, something that suits a park surrounded by sea and sky, something that is unique to Tokyo, something that is full of dreams such as “Let’s make or draw something!”
Let’s work together to create a festival full of individuality and hope!!

There are still four months until the third event will be held at Umi no Mori Park, a 15-minute bus ride from Odaiba, an area the size of 10 Tokyo Domes, a park created by bringing together Tokyo’s nature, and a number of spectacular scenic spots from which to enjoy a panoramic view of the whole of Tokyo, from Disneyland to Haneda Airport, including the Skytree and skyscrapers.
We’re all looking forward to spending the best summer, enjoying the best music life, and finally welcoming everyone to the long weekend in October. TOKYO ISLAND is also Japan’s most convenient large-scale outdoor festival, and as a special event just before the park opens, you can pitch a tent and camp for free. Beginners are welcome, and we’ll provide support, so please take this opportunity to enjoy the camping experience, including BBQs and bonfires. It’s really fun.
