The music festival “TOKYO ISLAND,” which will be held at the vast park “Umi no Mori Park (Forest Creation Area),” conveniently located about 15 minutes by car from the Odaiba district of Tokyo, has announced the third round of performing artists along with the dates!

■Message from “TOKYO ISLAND” Captain Jun Shikano
There are about three months until the event. The live music scene is now experiencing even more excitement and vitality than last year, the first summer festival season since the COVID-19 pandemic ended, and TOKYO ISLAND will be held for the third time in October, after a summer of amazing music.
This time, we will be announcing the third wave of seven performing artists, as well as announcing and starting pre-sales of merchandise.
Once again, we were able to announce the best artists. We are eternally grateful to the artists who will be performing, and we are also very grateful to you, the music fans who have participated in this festival and shown an interest in it, for being the reason that the artists want to perform.
As of now, there are 29 groups, and the next announcement will be the final one. And why does the last line-up credit for the final day, androp 15th Anniversary day, end with “and ???” instead of “and more”? Please look forward to it.
We are now accepting pre-orders for merchandise. If you purchase now, it will arrive at your home before the event. You can wear it when you come to the event in October, or best of all, wear the merchandise you receive and promote TOKYO ISLAND!
Looking at it this way, I feel that the festival participants are the supporters at the very heart of live music and live music. Thank you for everything. I think we were able to create goods that are fitting for all of you.

This time I would like to write a little about androp 15th Anniversary day.
I have personally been very grateful to them on various occasions, including writing liner notes for their debut, spinning their songs dozens of times as a DJ, and teaching them everything about saunas. They have also performed at TOKYO ISLAND since the very beginning, and last year they even set up an androp time in the sauna area, where they acted as sauna masters, giving a precious gift to all who attended. Yes, for TOKYO ISLAND, androp is an evergreen legend.
When I heard last spring that they would be celebrating their 15th anniversary, I wanted to celebrate it with the whole of TOKYO ISLAND, androp 15th Anniversary Day was realized on October 14th. This is a so-called artist festival, but it is not just an artist festival, it will be a new and special day where the festival itself celebrates the artists.
The currently announced artists for the 14th are those who have proposed to perform after discussing with androp. At the offer stage, androp has heard a lot about special feelings and events for the artists. Similarly, the artists have readily accepted after hearing a lot of gratitude, encouragement, thoughts and memories for androp. All the artists will come to Island with a special feeling to celebrate androp’s 15th anniversary. On this day, when you wake up in the morning, wash your face, brush your teeth, and even the soap and toothpaste you use at the time, please think of androp as androp, and enjoy the festival with androp on your whole body and heart. Androp, the artists, and us, the staff, all unite with that feeling. And let’s rejoice that we were able to participate in the day of the best celebration for their future, that is, for the 20th and 30th years!
So, we’ll be waiting for you at Umi no Mori Park, Tokyo’s new place to dance to music.
