■Message from “VIVA LA ROCK” producer Tomoko Ariizumi
Following the first round in November, we have announced the second round of performing artists.
Every time we announce the lineup like this, I feel both happy and humbled that we will have such talented and unique artists performing at Vivara again next year.
As I have written before, there were so many people who participated in Vivara for the first time this year (2024). We live in an era where you can easily discover a lot of music through the internet, which for someone like me who was a teenager in the 90s when there was no internet or streaming, I think it’s a dream-like environment. Even after the paradigm shift of the past few years, there are still so many people who come to Vivara in search of music. I was happy to be able to realize that Vivara exists, and I would also like to thank everyone who participated for the first time for enjoying and creating the gigantic playground of rock and music that is Vivara. I felt it was most meaningful that we were able to create a very happy space together with everyone. Many things change with the times, but the way to enjoy a festival and the joy of a festival is something that is always created together with the participants at the festival.
I always hear from many performers that “I can tell that the audience at VIVARA truly enjoys the music.” Some people were listening to the music with their whole bodies as if they didn’t want to miss a moment, and some were sitting in the stands enjoying the music slowly as they went around various areas. . We want each and every one of you to enjoy music as freely as possible, and to do so, we ask you to spend your day remembering to be considerate of each other, and this year’s Vivara will do just that, with great music. I once again think that these four days were a great success.
I want to meet all of you music fans again next year and create VIVA LA ROCK together. That is why we are preparing for the next festival while reconsidering what we can do to create a music experience that meets and even exceeds everyone’s expectations.
I’m sure there will be many opportunities to encounter various kinds of music during this year-end and New Year holidays. The artists whose names have been included in this second round of announcements are all artists who have their own strong will and beliefs, and who have repeatedly performed works and live performances in an effort to carve out their own unique music and expressions. Please come and experience the music. Your free curiosity about music is the most important factor in creating the festival VIVA LA ROCK.
We are accepting applications for food and beverage vendors until January 17th of the new year. We are looking forward to finding a restaurant that can enrich the Vibara Gohan lineup and provide food that satisfies the stomachs and hearts of many people in a safe and speedy manner. The year 2024 is almost over. Thank you very much to everyone who was involved in VIVA LA ROCK this year and everyone who was interested. Thanks to you, VIVA LA ROCK will be able to hold its 12th event in 2025. I would be happy if you could walk with me next year as well.
