“KESEN ROCK FESTIVAL’25” will be held for two days on July 19th and 20th! The venue will be the same as last year in 2024, at Yumemi Park in Ofunato City.
In 2009, when the executive committee was established, it was named “KESEN ROCK FESTIVAL” with the aim of rotating the event in two cities and one town in the “Kesen region” – Ofunato City, Rikuzentakata City, and Sumita Town. Due to the influence, that was not possible, and the event continued to be held in Taneyama, Sumita Town. In 2019, when the event was held for the 10th time, I looked around the city again and felt that it was about time for me to realize the dreams I had back then, and decided to hold the event in Ofunato City in 2024. It received a lot of response from various quarters and was crowded with people all over the city. The event was restarted as a one-day event, but the company felt it had a good response, so it will be held for two days this time, aiming to further contribute to the local community.
The idea is to get the cooperation of the nearby commercial facility “Kassen” and to involve the town and energize it. “KRF’25” will also create a heartwarming rock festival that feels like a nostalgic summer vacation in the countryside, while also valuing the “Kesen-like handmade feel.” With this unwavering focus since the first year of the event, we will communicate both inside and outside the country the strong image of our hometown as it recovers from the disaster.
At the same time, the first group of performing artists will also be announced.the band apartIt has been decided that he will appear. Please look forward to “KRF” as it takes a new step forward.
