CEMETERY SKYLINE – I Drove All Night (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Santeri Kallio said, “At the time I was writing a song for Nordic Gothic, the track was sailing over the Baltic when Markus suddenly came up with the idea of creating a cover version of the ’80s classic, ‘I Drove All Night.’ Some might think of this song as a Roy Orbison hit, but when I was in high school, I used to pound my head against the wall with the original Cyndi Lauper version. So as an old fan of this song, I couldn’t resist this idea. Other members of the band quickly joined in on the excitement, giving the classic a new dark vibe. I also think Markus’ passion for vintage cars has something to do with the idea of covering the song, which sings about driving like crazy in the dark all night. “If I changed the song Cadillac to a hearse, everything was decided.”
