Since last summer, symphonic metal band ANCIENT MYTH has been holding an Apocalypse666, a one-man tour that costs an astonishing 666 yen, based on the “Number of the Beast” 666 from John’s Apocalypse666. This tour, which is meant to mark the unveiling of the two new members, will finally close a total of 18 performances with the Nagano LIVE HOUSE J performance on March 29th and the Takadanobaba CLUB PHASE performance on April 6th.
The latest song, “Amarantos Blooms,” produced between the tours, was originally sold only at live venues, but due to its popularity, it was also available on the band’s official online store, and the music video has finally been released!
ANCIENT MYTH / Amarantos Blooms (Official Music Video)
In this video, the members dressed in costumes decorated with something like a coat of arms of arms perform in a church or altar-like space with the same coat of arms, but this band’s uniqueness is fully embodied and incorporated into the fierce metal sound, magnificent symphonic sound, and the fleeting world of poetry that intersects sadness and love.
In the artist photo released earlier, each member carried a bouquet of flowers, giving off a somewhat ritual appearance, but this is probably the foreshadowing of this music video. In the video, manga artist Takasugi Kou lends her strength as a special appearance in the role of the male character who is given the bouquet of flowers. Including that, it’s a truly grinning process. It seems that we will continue to keep an eye on ANCIENT MYTH in the future.
