The “THEE 30TH” project, which was launched to commemorate THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT’s 30th anniversary, will be reissued and released “Chicken Zombies” and “GEAR BLUES” in 180g heavy-duty two discs, and will also be re-released with a remastered sound source and a 96k24b high-resolution sound source!
“THEE 30TH” is a project that will be based on the theme of “96k24b, 180g & 4K”, with a newly remastered 96kHz/24bit high-resolution distribution from the original master tape, a re-release of the analog recording on a heavy 180g record, and up-converting music videos to 4K quality, leaving the works left behind by THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT in high sound and high quality.
Chicken Zombies, whose release is now revealed, is the third album released by Nippon Columbia on November 1, 1997, and includes “Get Up Lucy,” “Boogie,” and “Birdmen.” The fourth album, “GEAR BLUES,” was released on November 25th, 1998, and is a popular work that includes “Smokin Billy” and “GWD.” Among them, Chicken Zombies is the first two-disc release, and expectations are high for its sound quality and the artwork that will be a double jacket. The analog heavy-duty and distributed releases of “Chicken Zombies” will be released on June 1st, and GEAR BLUES will be released on July 1st.
In addition, an additional press has been decided to hold the 180g heavy-duty 180g disc of “Cult Grass Stars,” which had been in short supply due to rising popularity. The store will be released in stores at the same time as the release of Chicken Zombies, and each e-commerce will be accepting orders from today, April 1st. Fans who have not been able to get it should check out each shop.
And 4K upconverted footage of three music videos from “Lily” from their second album “High Time,” “Boogie” and “Get Up Lucy” from their third album “Chicken Zombies” have been released on THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT’s official YouTube channel! It will be interesting to see which 4K music videos of songs will be released in the future.
