Alternative rock band ARKTA released their latest high-energy single, “DIVE” today, April 23rd!
“DIVE” is a live anthem created with a sense of unity with the audience in mind. With the aim of accelerating the festival’s enthusiasm, there is no doubt that it will become an indispensable song in the ARKTA set list in the future.
In 2024, it was a year of great success with two successful domestic tours. At his first live house performance in Shibuya in April, he felt a strong sense of connection with the audience, and that was the inspiration for his new song, “DIVE.” The song was completed during the second tour in November and performed it for the first time at a live show. After reactions on stage, it has been proven that this song will be the core of future live shows.
Tak (Vo) and kenken (Vo/Producer) want to create a space where people can bring their words to each and every audience in front of them and bring something back. The first EP released in 2024 expressed inner conflict and emotions, but DIVE is the exact opposite. It is an anthem for live shows, with the intent of “the enthusiasm that will be created with everyone.”
“DIVE” combines ARKTA’s strong rock sound with pop sensibility. The theme is a sense of unity and excitement with the audience, and is said to have been created with the aim of resonating on the big stage of a summer festival. The song is packed with “the moment when I first saw my favorite band at a festival, which made my heart flutter.”
While previous EPs have revolved around introspective themes, “DIVE” is the opposite. This is the beginning of a new phase where music opens up to the outside world. ARKTA positions 2025 as a year of “evolution” and aims to further grow using previous experiences, emotions and encounters. “DIVE” is just the first step. The music was composed with the desire to entertain, cheer up, and deliver words to each and every audience member who is in front of them watching the live performance. This is the 2024 first EP that deeply depicts the “inners and mental images” of the two members of ARKTA. It’s a very contrasting presence. “Live tunes that are a classic set list” are the concept of DIVE.
