FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH has announced that they will be releasing their album “Best Of – Volume 1” on July 18th to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their formation! In addition to being distributed, it will also be released worldwide on CD and record formats!
This collection is a reprint of their signature hit songs, and this decision corresponds to the band’s former label selling their original master recordings without the band’s knowledge. It features 14 reprinted hit songs, including popular singles, and the bonus live recording includes three songs, “Trouble,” “Welcome To The Circus,” and “The Bleeding.”
Founding member and guitarist Zoltan Bathory said:
“We wanted an opportunity to regain the master sound source, and at least we wanted to get involved in the transaction. But we learned that after the fact. Despite the surprise, these closed-room transactions have become too common in the music industry. Labels buy and sell artists’ works without their knowledge and turn them into soulless products. But life is like chess. It was a respectable act of honor that Taylor Swift re-recorded his catalogue and fans began to support the new version as part of the protest. We have the most enthusiastic and loyal fan base in the world. We believe they will support us in the same way.”
By chance, this year marks the 20th anniversary of the band’s formation. The members have already considered how to commemorate their 20 years of musical activities and have decided to turn this unexpected event into something positive and powerful. Deciding that remixing or remastering would not be enough, he chose to produce an album that was completely reprinted as a 2025 edition, showing respect for the song and the fans who loved and supported it.
While maintaining respect for the people involved in recording the original and producing it, the band is also delighted to share this new chapter with fans around the world, bringing new life to fan-favorite songs such as “The Bleeding,” “Bad Company,” and “Wrong Side Of Heaven.”
The first song released from the 20th anniversary edition of this album is titled “I Refuse,” and is a fan favorite song that was originally scheduled to be released as a single. This reprint will feature IN THIS MOMENT’s Maria Brink as guest vocalist. Lyric videos have also been released, so be sure to check them out!
